BuildDesk 1.5.1 released

Saturday, August 26th, 2006
Download BuildDesk 1.5.1 BuildDesk 1.5.1 contains bug fixes and interface cleanups. These are some of the improvements:
  • BuildDesk now generates a perfect Windows installer. It's clean and pretty: Plus, now it's possible to define your own install/uninstall icons. However, even default ones now look very nice and easily recognizable:
  • Version control for BuildDesk files now is very easy. All paths are relative and all needed stuff is inside three files: project.xml, project.bdp and project.xml.zip. You don't need to tweak Ant on your build computer -- your project will just build on any Ant instance. You can generate your build once and run in from IntelliJ IDEA or just from command line. It will just build. Read more on this.
BuildDesk team would like to thank all the customers who sent suggestions, reported problems or just told us warm words. There is even better news! BuildDesk 2.0 early access is expected to start in a few days. It contains many exciting new features, so keep in touch!

BuildDesk 1.2 released

Monday, July 10th, 2006
Download BuildDesk 1.2 BuildDesk 1.2 is released! Major improvements are:
  • No eval licenses - just download and play with BuildDesk! You don't have to own a copy of IntelliJ IDEA - BuildDesk contains a sample project. So play with it and remember that NetBeans/Eclipse support is coming! Same things will be available very soon for both IDEs.
  • Complete support of IntelliJ IDEA. BuildDesk imports everything what's required to build (modules/libraries/dependencies/JDKs/compiler settings), successfully compiles module cycles, source roots with prefixes, nested roots, resolves global data (global libraries/ignored files/) and many more. If you spent time configuring your IntelliJ IDEA project, you won't do the same things again -- BuildDesk will build your project.
  • Many usability improvements and improved error highlighting. With BuildDesk you always know where the problem is with your build. Just look, isn't it nice?
Please enjoy! We've already started adding new features for 1.5 so keep in touch!
